The Promotion & Tenure ad hoc committee will be presenting a Pre-Conference session, "Promotion & Tenure Boot-Camp" this afternoon as part of the SUNYLA 2020 Annual Conference. We have surveyed those attendees who registered prior to June 4th for the issues they most wanted to discuss, and tailored our topics to these. We have also recruited a number of other Librarians who will act as additional mentors during the session discussions and some who are willing to do 1:1 mentoring moving forward for attendees on portfolio work (Thank you!)
Looking ahead, we will continue to seek feedback from the membership on what resources they find most helpful and strive to provide these. One goal is to work on a repository of promotion and tenure guidelines from the SUNY state operated and community campuses (we know that there are some that have been gathered from other purposes in years past, but we would like to make this a searchable resource for all Librarians).
