Anastasia Chiu has resigned their position as Cataloging & Metadata Librarian to pursue a new career opportunity at NYU. Anastasia’s last day on the job was May 1. Anastasia joined the Libraries in June 2017 bolstered the Cataloging and Metadata Services department’s migration efforts by co-organizing the department's self-training, by gathering information on SUNY-level policies and activities, and by implementing many of SUNY’s policies at the institutional level. They were the primary cataloger for music scores and physical-format audio and video recordings, and contributed strongly to the department's efforts to reinstate Stony Brook Libraries' status as a contributor to the prestigious Library of Congress Program for Cooperative Cataloging. Anastasia also co-authored Developing a Residency Program: A Practical Guide for Librarians, published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2019. We extend our best wishes to Anastasia.
