SLC Update
« on: June 13, 2018, 09:31:34 AM »
Voting for three new SLC Board members was completed in March and new members announced at the SLC Spring meeting. Holly Heller-Ross and Tim Arnold rotated off the Board after completing three-year terms, and Patrick Callahan stepped off the Board a year early, due to his upcoming retirement. The following candidates were the top three vote-getters and new Board members:

Ken Fujiuchi, Head, Information Commons, Buffalo State University
Jenica Rogers, Director, Lougheed Learning Commons, SUNY Potsdam
Ben Rawlins, Library Director, SUNY Geneseo

As of the end of the SLC Spring Meeting, Patrick stepped down at SLC Chair, and I (Katie) stepped into that role. Ken Fugiuchi was selected by the Board as the new Vice Chair, and Jenica Rogers as Treasurer. A full list of SLC Board members can be found here:

I’m pleased to announce that Charles O’Bryan, Ph.D. has been appointed as the executive director for SUNY Libraries Consortium, beginning June 28, 2018.

His appointment was the result of a nationwide search. Special thanks to the SLC Executive Director search committee members, and especially to Holly Heller-Ross who served as the committee chair.

Congratulations all.
Note - Ken's name is spelled correctly (first reference) - Ken Fujiuchi, H.  (of Buffalo State College).  Congratulations Ken.
