I encourage anyone interested in running for an executive board position to reach out to VP/President Elect Carol Anne Germain to get your name on the ballot for April's elections. Being an active member of the SUNYLA leadership has been an amazing opportunity, and has led to some wonderful connections across SUNY. I hope to see a slate of candidates that represents all of the talents and diversity that we have across our libraries.
Planning for this year's annual conference is well underway. The conference committee has been doing a lot of work to prepare a program and activities to meet everyone's needs. We will be getting a first hand look during the meeting on Friday at the campus and facilities.
The spring SLC meeting will be held April 18-20th in Syracuse. Voting for new SLC Board Members is happening now, and is open through March 29th. Each campus gets one vote; I encourage you to speak with your directors to offer your opinions on the candidates. The search for the SLC Executive Director is well underway, WebEx presentations will be happening next week. Everyone is invited to view and comment.
