Paid for up until 2017 conference: 163
Paid from 3/8/2016 to 3/8/2017: 234
Delegates: 56
We have talked often about changing the SUNYLA dues structure from the conference-to-conference model, to a date of pay plus 12 months. In the past, this was problematic in keeping track of the membership. Since we have a membership database that logs these data points, it is easy to maintain. This change may eliminate confusion and generate goodwill.
A possible change to the wording in the By Laws
Currently:
17.2 The Dues Year shall begin on the day after the completion of the annual conference and extend through the last day of the conference in the following year.
Change to:
17.2 The Membership year is for a period of twelve months, beginning the date Membership dues are received by the Association.
