SUNYConnect Library Services Platform
•   A Request for Proposals is being finalized as the next step in the process of selecting a new SUNYConnect Library Services Platform vendor; plan is to have the RFP out this year with vendor selection in the first quarter of 2017;
•   Evaluation Team for reviewing the RFP responses is Katherine Brent (Cobleskill), Jennifer Devito (Stony Brook), Michelle Eichelberger (Genesee), Pat Maxwell (Brockport), Jenn Murray (Buffalo), Gail Pawlowski (OLIS), Shannon Pritting (SUNY Poly), David Schuster (Binghamton), Wendy West (Albany) and Maureen Zajkowski (OLIS, ex officio);
•   Look for calls to participate in one or more of various working groups that will be created to work on getting-ready-for-the-new-library-system.
Electronic Resources 
•   Thanks to Albany, Binghamton, Brockport, Broome, Buffalo, Buffalo State, Canton, Cayuga, Columbia-Greene, Delhi, Downstate, Dutchess, Empire, Erie, ESF, Farmingdale, FLCC, Genesee, Geneseo, Herkimer, Hudson Valley, Jamestown, Jefferson, Mohawk Valley, Monroe, Nassau, Niagara, North Country, Old Westbury, Oneonta, Optometry, Orange, Oswego, Plattsburgh, Potsdam, Rockland, Schenectady, Stony Brook, Suffolk, SUNY Poly, Tompkins Cortland, and Upstate for making the New England Journal of Medicine available to all of SUNYConnect;
•   Initial discussions are underway between SUNY OLIS and The Chronicle of Higher Education on possible group licensing arrangements;
•   The Open SUNY Textbook collection is searchable and available via EBSCO Discovery Service; EDS administrators can enable the database (EDSSUN) or request that EBSCO support assist;
•   Cold calls and related inquiries – Does your library have (purchasing) interest in Gale Researcher, Journal of the American Medical Association (via EBSCO), Oxford English Dictionary, Statista?
SUNY Digital Repository
•   Final documents, reports, etc. from Innovative Instructional Technology Grants can be found in the SUNY Digital Repository;
•   30+ SUNY campuses have added content to the SUNY Digital Repository; the repository includes 10s of thousands of items; worldwide ranking is 371 (out of 2275 repositories);
•   Please submit a Footprints request if you are interested in getting started with campus collections in the SUNY Digital Repository;

Open Educational Resources
•   Interviews are underway for an executive director of the SUNY OER Services operation (Geneseo, OLIS);
•   At the national OpenEd 2016 conference SUNY was represented in 7 presentations and there was great interest in the sustainability models offered by SUNY OER Services and Open SUNY Textbooks;
•   Allison Brown (Geneseo) presented a webinar on SUNY OER Services during the OA Week webinars;
•   SCLD has scheduled webinars to discuss the proposed change in structure/governance; sessions are scheduled for November 28 and 29; two sessions on December 2nd;
•   Congratulations to SCLD, University Faculty Senate, SUNYLA, OLIS, ESLN representatives on a successful  series of webinars on open access and scholarly communication issues held during OA Week;  webinar recordings are available;

•   The SUNY Office of Library and Information Services and search committees have interviews underway for systems librarian and library senior strategist positions;
•   SUNY Conference 2016 (“Degrees of Influence”) videos are available;
•   What should SUNY look for in the next chancellor of the State University of New York?; your input is being sought.
