NYLA liaison report

Here is the latest news from  NYLA ASLS's President  :
•   We are gearing up for the NYLA Annual conference, to be held in Saratoga Springs from November 2-5. The Academic & Special Libraries Section (ASLS) will be presenting sessions on managing data, open access, open educational resources, fundraising, e-resource license management, and a program profiling several special libraries around the state. We are planning on a social event/membership meeting to be held on Thursday, November 3 from 5:30-7 at the Henry Street Taproom – all are welcome, even if they’re not attending the conference. Please come!
•   NYLA membership is continuing to grow and is now over 5,000 members.
•   NYLA election results are as follows:
o   President-Elect (2016/17) and President (2017/18) will be Tim Burke, Executive Director, Upper Hudson Library System
o   Councilor at Large (Academic, 2016-2019) will be Sandra Echols, Associate Dean, College of New Rochelle
o   Councilor at Large (School, 2016-2019) will be Jill Leinung, School Librarian, East Greenbush Central Schools
o   ALA Chapter Councilor (2019-2019) will be Jennifer Ferriss, Assistant Director and Community Liaison, Southern Adirondack Library System
•   ASLS election results are as follows:
o   President-Elect (2016/17) and President (2017/18) will be Jessica Clemons, Interim Library Director, SUNY ESF
o   Secretary (2016-2018) will be Jennifer Kegler, SUNY Brockport
o   Director at Large (2016-2018) will be Matthew Kopel, CLRC
o   Director at Large (2016-2018) will be Dana Haugh, Stonybrook University
