I. Professional Development Grants Subcommittee (Lisa Errico, Chair)
The Professional Development Grants Subcommittee has awarded six grants this year amounting to a total of $2,985. The subcommittee awarded two grants since the last Council meeting to the following applicants:
Kim Myers, Drake Memorial Library, The College at Brockport
Amount: $485
Proposed Activity: Attended “Transforming Libraries for Graduate Students” at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
Eugene Harvey, E.H. Butler Library, SUNY Buffalo
Amount: $500.00
Proposed Activity: Presenting at the 8th Annual Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Libraries (QQML) Conference in London. The title of his presentation is “Students, Textbooks, and OER: Can We Afford Not to Listen?”
II. Conference Awards (Kim Myers, Chair)
The Conference Awards Subcommittee selected eight Sylvia Chu and one Dan Kissane Scholarship awardees this year. The winners are as follows:
