LACUNY officers Spring 2016:
President: Jonathan Cope (College of Staten Island)
*New* Vice President/President Elect: Jennifer Poggiali (Lehman) Jessica Wagner (Baruch)
Secretary: William Blick (Queensborough)
Treasurer: Geraldine Hébert (Bronx)

I (Kimmy) will be stepping down as well by the end of this spring semester. In our experience with the way SUNYLA /LACUNY meetings and our semester schedule match up, it works well to have two of us to cover everything on both sides. We have two capable LACUNY members who have volunteered to fill Frans's and my posts. They are Lee Ann Fullington (Brooklyn) (planning to attend the conference in Binghamton) and Robin Brown (BMCC). If the SUNYLA Council approves, I will begin to show them through the transition.

We are exploring using a membership management system. We have been in contact with a vendor called Wild Apricot.

LACUNY’s annual conference, LACUNY Institute, will be held on May 20, 2016 at Brooklyn College. This year’s theme is “Race Matters: Libraries, Racism, and Antiracism” with keynote speaker Jelani Cobb and remarks by April Hathcock. The call for proposals open until February 1 http://lacuny.org/institute-call-for-proposals/ More info: http://2016lacunyinst.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

The Bronx Ed Tech Showcase will take place on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Lehman College. More info: http://commons.hostos.cuny.edu/bronxedtech/save-the-date/
