The Professional Development Committee participated in the following activities:
1. Professional Development Grants Subcommittee
Lisa Errico from Nassau Community College is the new Chair of the PDG Subcommittee.
We thank Susan Perry for her service as Chair of the PDG Subcommittee!
A $500 grant was awarded to Carol Anne Germain of University at Albany. The grant will provide funding for an event entitled “Library Programs Symposium.” The program will involve graduate students and will be held on 10/9/14.
2. Mentoring Program
There are currently five mentor/mentoring pairs for the mentoring program.
3. Meetings
We plan to schedule our next virtual meeting prior to the November 14, 2014 SUNYLA
Council Meeting.
