FACT2 Update

As the State University of New York successfully increases its online educational opportunities, faculty and staff are sharing materials electronically to support new methods of delivering instruction and acquiring knowledge.  At times, questions arise about the electronic distribution of materials protected by copyright.  You are cordially invited to attend a Symposium to hear experts and to share your thoughts and experiences about the use of protected content in online education.  Speakers include:

Ø  Karyn Temple Claggett, Associate Register of Copyrights and Director of Policy and International Affairs, United States Copyright Office

Ø  Robert Clarida, Partner,Reitler Kailas & Rosenblatt LLC

Ø  Members of the SUNY Counsel’s Office

Ø  Lenore G. Horowitz, Teaching Faculty of Informatics, SUNY Albany

Ø  Sarah Morehouse, Information Resources Coordinator, Empire State College

Ø  Carine Surdey, Senior Instructional Designer, SUNY Broome Community College

There will be ample time available for networking and sharing ideas with other attendees.

FACT will have three task forces in the upcoming year:
1.     Mobile Technology in Teaching and Learning
2.     Interactive Content in Teaching and Learning
3.     Competency Based Learning
