SUNYConnect LMS and Related Activities
• Extensive efforts are ongoing in regard to the One Bib/Shared catalog project; this includes data analysis, record loading (1,174,222 bibliographic records), campus profiling, work on staff accounts, creation of a “one bib” GUI and ongoing project analysis/revision; the project server environment has been established;
• A detailed One Bib/Shared catalog project update was posted to sunyla-l and other email lists on September 10, 2014;
• Take a look at the SUNYLA Conference session on the One Bib project;
• “SUNYOne – diversifying the SUNY Library Collection” has added approximately 1500 first copy titles to the overall SUNY library collection; 8 SUNYs are participating in the current round of SUNYOne (commenced September 1, 2014); group includes at least one university center, health science center, comprehensive college, college of technology and community college.
EBSCO Discovery Service
• Phase 3 of the EDS implementation was successful;
• The SUNY EDS license officially started July 1, 2014;
• A press release from EBSCO about the SUNY EDS license is expected October 6, 2014;
• Thanks to Abby Smith (Potsdam) for assistance with the Films on Demand (Academic Collection) custom catalog;
• Please get in touch if your library’s only Films on Demand subscription is the Career and Technical Education collection;
• Custom catalog established for the SUNYConnect collection of Gale Virtual Reference Library titles;
• Weekly SUNYConnect LMS catalog updates are being sent to EBSCO for the 50+ participating SUNY libraries;
• SUNY EDS sites can be found here.
Electronic Resources
• SUNY has presented to Elsevier a counter-offer for a new ScienceDirect license;
• New SUNYConnect electronic resource – “National Fire Codes Subscription Service All Access”; available to all students, faculty, and staff;
• Discounted pricing has been received from the vendor of Films on Demand;
• Four additional campuses have joined the shared nursing ebook collection program (vendor - Stat!Ref); with 19 campuses participating, the number of simultaneous users was increased; the collection was increased by two titles and the license also includes unlimited access to the Board Vitals NCLEX RN test preparation online tool;

• New subscription orders and renewals for Annual Reviews are underway; please get in touch prior to October 15, 2014;
• The SUNYConnect ScienceDirect title/holdings listing has been updated by EBSCO and ProQuest; a few data issues (involving Cell Press titles) are in process of being resolved.
