Hi all,
The New York Library Association Conference was a great success! I do not have final numbers on attendees, but prior to the conference there was an update that over 800 registered. The sessions and trade show provided great opportunities for learning and networking, and it was wonderful to see colleagues from across the state.
NYLA is launching a postcard campaign to the Governor to encourage her to sign the Freedom to Read Act. This passed the NYS legislature in May 2025. Once she signs it, it will become law.
NYLA's Advocacy page has been updated with new budget and legislative priorities, so check it out here.
