The SUNY FACT2 Council had their annual virtual planning retreat (Aug. 7–8, 2025) and focused on reviewing CIT 2025 conference, which saw record post-COVID attendance and strong feedback, and planning for CIT 2026 at Stony Brook, with continued emphasis on AI, accessibility (especially new Title II compliance), and digital wellness. Task group reports were completed for 2024–25, and new groups for the coming year were discussed. Once they are finalized and approved by the SUNY Provost, I will share them and the call for volunteers. System updates highlighted SUNY’s federal advocacy on research funding, DEI, Pell Grants, and international student access, as well as new global engagement initiatives. Overall, the retreat underscored AI and accessibility as priorities for the year ahead.
