I apologize if I am not on the meeting (I had an appointment and it may have run late).
The Conference Committee is off and running and things are beginning to take shape.
The theme of this year's conference will be "Climbing the Mountain: Fostering Collaboration and Building Community". We hope to have a logo soon, and the website will begin to have content in the near future as well.
The programming committee will send out the call for sessions prior tot he December holidays. They have added one new session option for this year's conference, a 20 minute spotlight talk, this will be in addition to the Lightning Talks (10 minute) and Regular Sessions (50 minutes) and Pre-Conference (1.5 hour).
Local Arrangements are being coordinated. A note for anyone who generally stays in hotels (non Residence Halls - June is baseball season in our area, which means that prices are higher and space is hard to come by. At this time we have not been able to secure a block a rooms at any of the hotels in Oneonta, although we are still looking. There are no hotels in Delhi, although there are Air B-n-B's and Bed and Breakfasts. Oneonta is a 25 minute drive from Delhi). We will have housing on campus, and the pricing will be set very soon. It will be low-cost, there will be double and single room options available. The residence hall will have a communal kitchen, and lounges for hang-out space.
All of the rooms for the sessions have been booked.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone in June at Delhi!
