Howdy!
The IDEA committee is getting the ball rolling on a project to develop mini guides on DEI topics. We're using a quick and easy guide to pronouns on campus as inspiration, and we hope to touch on a variety of topics including (but not limited to) disability/UDL in the library, supporting student mental health, trauma informed librarianship, and overcoming communication barriers. If you have any topics you'd like to see covered in a short guide, or if you have expertise you'd like to lend to this project, let me know at mcameron@mvcc.edu! We'd be happy to include your ideas and support.
We are also looking into the possibility of holding webinars on DEI topics, so if you have any insight into the logistics of that I would love to chat.
