Thanks to the delegates for helping with membership. The Student Subcommittee also put out a big push to increase membership with that audience.
We are having difficulties with the membership database – the background data looks like it is intact but the application to join malfunctioned. Chris Hulsman and Bill Jones worked on this last week, and it seems fine. However, we are now experiencing issues with the PayPal connection. Waiting in their thoughts.
The elephant in the room – this tool has worked well for years (thanks to Logan and Bill), but is it time for a new model😊
The Student Subcommittee is in the process of scheduling two virtual workshops - another resume/cover letter writing workshop, that will also address AI, on a Friday in October and a workshop on Interviewing on a Friday in November. If anyone is interested in helping to lead either of these workshops they can contact Amanda Lowe - it would be great to include some diverse perspectives, especially when it comes to interviewing. The promotion for these will probably go out within the next week or two.
