IDS Project Update
« on: June 12, 2024, 09:17:54 AM »
The IDS Project has hired Andromeda Sawtelle as our new developer. They are currently half time though there are plans to make the position full time next year in preparation for supporting Crosslink.

Crosslink is progressing well and we are moving into the ISO 18626 brokering development stage. We currently have a discovery layer built using VuFind as the public interface. I will be presenting at SUNYLA tomorrow.

The IDS Project admin team has decided to discontinue the Regional User Groups. Instead, we will be focusing the open discussion section on the IDS Forums and the presentation section on the Online Learning Institute.

The IDS Conference this year will be at SUNY Albany on July 25th and 26th. There will be multiple Alma sessions in addition to our normal ILLiad and resource sharing. The keynote is Charlie Barlow from the Boston Library Consortium and he will be discussing Digital Frontiers in Resource Sharing.

There will be a few new additions to IDS Logic in the near future. An enhancement to the Admin functions to provide better service and an updated function to the Article Filler.

Three IDS Admin Team Members (Kristen Heinrich, Logan Rath, and Heidi Webb) have migrated and updated the IDS Project Website. We are now running non Libguides and the site looks amazing!

Jennifer Acker and her team have been updating the IDS Workflow Toolkit. The new IDS FAQs is now up to date with the current ILLiad software.

Rachel Manning and Jennifer Acker have brought in six new IDS Peer Advisors to help the membership!
