NYLA Update

NYLA launched their new website. The URL is still https://www.nyla.org/ but any old links will be broken and need to be updated with new URLs from the new website. Also, accounts did not carry over. If you are a member of NYLA through your organization, then whoever manages the institutional account will need to set up your account. If you are an individual paying member, you will need to create a new account by filling out the form here: https://nyla.memberclicks.net/2024-2025-membership-join-form

Advocacy:
The Governor released her FY2025 budget briefing book this week. In it, she proposed $102.1 for library operating aid (a $2.1M increase from last year's funding) and $3M for NOVELny. (It is on pg. 56: https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/default/files/2024-01/FY2025_NYS_Executive_Budget_Briefing_Book.pdf)
