Big news! The IDEA committee is in the process of setting up a listserv. SUNYLA-IDEA will be a way to stay up to date on committee projects, learn about DEI issues, and connect with other groups looking for support. Hopefully it will be added to the website soon, but you should be able to subscribe now if you send an email with a blank subject line and blank body to subscribe-sunyla-idea@ls.suny.edu. Please let me know if you attempt to subscribe and run into trouble as we're testing this whole thing out, and if anyone has technical advice on running a listserv please let me know since this is my first go at it.
We have also expanded our efforts at collecting the DEI related resources at each SUNY school. Initially we began with just libguides but we now have repositories for images of displays, links to workshops and events, and PDFs of calendars listing racial, religious, and cultural dates of significance. We hope by collecting these tools we can compare notes and take the useful portions back to our own institutions, expanding DEI resources and engagement without having to put in as much extra work individually.
