The IDS Project has been hosting our new IDS Forums once a month. These virtual gatherings are meant to give people a way to discuss issues at their library and to highlight some of the interesting things they are doing.
The Virtual User Group on November 7th was a great success. Heidi Webb showcased their new DOI Lookup for the ILLiad webpages. Silvia Cho discussed how best to work with our patrons. I gave a brief overview of IDS Project new development - CrossLink. CrossLink, the new discovery and resource sharing system, is on track for 2025. We will be beta testing the new discovery section early 2024.
IDS Project has also received the green light to hire a new developer. This is a part time position with the potential to become full time once CrossLink is up and running. If you know someone that might be interested, please send them to
