« on: September 15, 2023, 09:01:20 AM »
Hi everyone! I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as 1st VP, I’m looking forward to this year.

The first delegate meeting of the academic year was held on September 1. We went over Delegate roles and responsibilities, all of which can be accessed through the Delegate Toolkit on the SUNYLA website: https://sunyla.org/delegate-toolkit/

I’ve been updating the Delegate list. If your campus has a new delegate please let me know!

Even though it is only September it is never too soon to think about our Spring Elections! Seats for 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, and Secretary will be open. If you are interested in running or know someone who may be interested please let me know via email.  Duties of each position are below (taken from the bylaws):

The First Vice President (President Elect) shall: 1) perform the duties of the President in the President’s absence; (2) coordinate nominations for election; (3) perform such other duties as may be required.

The Second Vice President shall serve for one year. The Second Vice President shall: (1) be responsible for the Annual SUNYLA Conference; (2) appoint a committee to assist in planning and presenting the conference; and (3) perform such other duties as required.
