A huge thank you to Karen Gelles, her team at Farmingdale State College, and the conference planning committee for another terrific annual conference. It’s a tremendous amount of work to pull the conference together and it is much appreciated.
We are looking forward to the 2023 Annual Conference at SUNY Maritime. 2nd VP Jillian Kehoe will update us on those preparations.
Any campuses interested in hosting the 2024 Annual Conference should get in touch with Adam Saunders.
At the conference in June, Derek Stadler, Associate Professor and Head of Media Services and Web Services at LaGuardia Community College, agreed to serve as the LACUNY Liaison. We will formalize this under New Business.
Logan Rath has agreed to take over as chair of the Professional Development Committee, which we will also cover in New Business.
Mary Timmons, long standing chair of the Personnel Policies Committee, is ready to step aside. Anyone interested in serving as the chair for this committee should contact me (Jennifer.a.devito@stonybrook.edu).
We have decided to continue to hold the Council meetings on Zoom. The March and June meetings will be held at SUNY Maritime as well as on Zoom.
