Caterina Reed-Araujo, Instructional Support Associate in the Content Acquisitions and Services department, was selected as an ALA Emerging Leader for 2022.

Laurel Scheinfeld is a distinguished member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals. This level of membership requires extensive training in health sciences librarianship and active engagement with the profession.

We are very excited to welcome Chrysovalantou Tsoumpelis to the University Libraries. Chryso started at the end of October as the Access & User Services manager in the Music Library. She comes to us with more than 8 years of experience in public libraries.

Maureen Zajkowski - Director, Open Access Services, will be retiring, effective 12/22/21.
We are going to miss Maureen, along with her vast institutional knowledge!
Wishing her the very best, in retirement.

The director at SUNY Purchase has announced their departure for another job and will be gone after 12/3/21.  So we will be searching for another director soon.  No word on who will be our interim yet.

Also, several of the librarians, are working on developing language for the campus faculty bylaws for full librarian promotion criteria.  Our edits have been sent to our campus PPC for review and hopefully the first stage in approval in early December.
