UUP Liaison Report
Dan Harms

Contractual raises have been once again delayed, this time through March. UUP is taking appropriate measures to ensure the enforcement of our contracts.

I’m interested in getting feedback on vaccinations for librarians and library workers. At this time, “in-person college instructors” are eligible for vaccination on the first phase of Group 1b. This does not cover a number of roles for which our workers might need to be on campus. UUP is advocating the state for a broader definition of educational workers, as was done in K-12. (Update: As of 1/14, NYLA is advocating for the same.)

We could really use help with our advocacy efforts to raise state funding and head off massive cuts: https://uupinfo.org/resources/raisingrevenue/

I will be reporting on the distribution of the salary compression funds at the meeting.
