« Reply #1 on: January 11, 2021, 01:05:57 PM »
Stony Brook University Libraries is pleased to announce the release of its new digital collection “Documenting COVID-19: Stony Brook University Experiences.” Browse the collection and read personal written narratives, listen to oral histories, and view photographs that document life during the COVID-19 pandemic from the unique perspectives of our own Stony Brook University community members. “Documenting COVID-19: Stony Brook University Experiences” is an ongoing project. The University Libraries continues to accept submissions. Participation is vital to ensure an inclusive record of the SBU experience is available for future generations of researchers.

The Resnick Library had a successful Fall semester wherein we moved the majority of our library services online and rotated staff to cover building hours. This semester we are preparing for the return of students in February. Librarians have developed successful online instruction sessions, notably, Kate Baroody developed a popular online Escape Room to serve as an introduction to the library and its services.

Hope everyone is well and continues to be as safe as possible.

Alfred C. O'Connell library is welcoming Jessica Hibbard as Associate Dean – Library and Academic Support Services. Jessica is not a librarian but has worked as a Campus Center dean for over ten years. She brings a positive energy and strong admin experience to the library, and we're happy to have her.
We have been offering virtual services but also have been open M-F 9-4 and will continue those hours. We will be resuming our Course Reserves services for the Spring semester.
