News from the Van Wagenen Library at SUNY Cobleskill:

Our evening circulation supervisor has left us to take a new position outside SUNY.  The position is being searched.

The chili contest was a success!  Prizes were awarded for best tasting, hottest, and most unique chili.  Watch for future updates for Mac and Cheese is Love in February.

"Pause for Paws" therapy dogs return to the Library November 27, a reprise of their successful visit October 16.

Web Manager Report

- This is my last report as Web Manager; I am stepping down after 10 years to let someone else have a go at it and to get involved in SUNYLA in other ways.

- Updates have continued as needed; minutes are up-to-date as of the last approved set.  If you find outdated information, send it to web@sunyla.org, since that email will forward to the new web manager once they are appointed.

Respectfully submitted,
Katherine Brent

Web manager report

- Annual Zoom meeting software renewal paid ($149.90).

- 500-seat Zoom webinar set up for 1 month for Midwinter ($140).  If needed it will be upgraded to the 1000-seat level.

- Our web host is migrating our data to a new server on 1/10/20.  If you post reports to the forum on 1/10, it's possible they may get lost in the data move depending on the timing, so check back on 1/11 and re-post if they disappeared.

- Updates continue as needed; if you find outdated information, please let me know so it can be fixed.  Sending things to web@sunyla.org is the fastest way to get something updated.

(I will probably miss the beginning of the meeting as I will be on the reference desk.)

Web manager report

- Zoom including expanded seating for the last Midwinter conference came to $646.15 total.  If Midwinter will again use Zoom at the 1000 seat level, it will cost the same.  If it will be at the 500 seat level, it will be about $320 total.  Need to request authorization to spend the money and need to know which level we'll want to get.

- Updates continue as needed; if you find outdated information, please let me know so it can be fixed.  Sending things to web@sunyla.org is the fastest way to get something updated.

- The Zoom renewal with the extra capacity for one month comes to $313.09 ($161.89 for the annual subscription and $151.20 for one month of extra capacity for Midwinter).  I'm requesting an allocation to pay for the renewal.  In the future either I or the Midwinter committee should probably request the funds for this at the October/November meeting.

Web Manager Report

- The WGIL blog is live - it's currently linked from the committees page.  The address is https://sunyla.org/informationliteracy/.

- Fixed some links related to the migration of the membership section to a sub-domain (thanks, Logan!) to fix some issues related to legacy content management systems.

- Set up the Zoom subscription for the Midwinter conference - this will need a vote since it turned out to be more than $200 (it's already on the agenda).  Total cost was $313.09.  There is a monthly fee of $140 for the 500 seat webinars that we can cancel and resume as needed (included in the aforementioned total).

- Updates continue as needed; if you find outdated information, please let me know so it can be fixed.  Sending things to web@sunyla.org is the fastest way to get something updated.
