Happy New Year!
The annual conference planning is well under way. Some updates for everyone. (also attached)
SUNYLA 2025: Climbing the Mountain: Fostering Collaboration and Building Community
June 18-20, 2025
Housing:
• Residence Hall room rates will be $45/night with all rooms as singles (unless doubles are requested)
• Linens will be included in that cost (2 pillows, 1 blanket, 1 fitted sheet, 2 sheets, 2 bath towels, 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels)
• Residence Halls are not air conditioned, but will have fans in each room. There will be common lounges and a common kitchen
Hotels and other accommodations
• The closest hotels are located in Oneonta (about a 30-minute drive from Delhi). We have not been able to secure a hotel room rate block due to the summer baseball season. If you are interested in booking a room at a hotel, we recommend that you do so very soon as rooms are in high demand over the summer for baseball families.
• There are also Air BnB’s and Bed and Breakfasts in Delhi and the surrounding area that may be available. (Accommodations from Visitdelhiny.com)
The Call for Proposals went out just before the holidays, so be sure to submit your proposal for pre-conference workshops, panels, presentations, spotlights, or lightning talks. The deadline is Friday, February 28, 2025.
Presentation options:
Pre-conference workshop
Date: June 18, 2025
Length: 90 minutes
Workshops are active training sessions where participants have the opportunity for hands-on practice or time for critical thinking and application.
Presentation or panel
Dates: June 19-20, 2025
Length: 50 minutes
Spotlight
Dates: June 19-20, 2025
Length: 20 minutes
If you don’t think your topic needs a full 50 minutes but longer than lightning talk, then consider sharing with a spotlight talk.
Lightning talk
Dates: June 19-20, 2025
Length: 10 minutes
Poster (Call for poster proposals will come out in March)
Date: June 19, 2025
