SUNYLA will be hosting our second annual Future Librarians Day (FLD) on April 21, 2023, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. EST.

FLD is a virtual event that allows students in Library and Information Science to learn about the various career paths available in academic libraries directly from librarians currently working in the field.

This event will consist of three moderated panels and will end with an hour-long break-out session where participants can connect even more with our panelists. All panelists are current SUNY Librarians.

Panels:

Collections & Archives (subject specialists/liaisons, archivists):
9:00 am – 9:45 am

Public Services (reference, access services, information literacy):
10:00 am – 10:45 am

Tech Services & Systems (electronic resources, cataloging, acquisitions, etc.): 11:00 am – 11:45 am

Breakout Lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
